She is very efficient in getting you on Dr. Weimer's schedule when you text or call that you need to get adjusted. She is caring, communicative and very well liked by our patients. Bones is assisting Dr. Weimer to prepare children for treatment. After months of researching service dogs, he located this puppy at a very reputable breeder in central Oregon. After watching a short video of the pup, Dr. Weimer drove to the Portland area to see him. After the purchase, the 10 hour drive back to Modesto was a great time for bonding. He named his dog Bones, a name made popular by the doctor in Star Trek . Bones is a registered Australian Labradoodle, A Labradoodle is a cross between a Golden Retriever and a carefully selected Poodle. This mix has proven to be the right size, temperament and allergy free coat for a service dog. He is a hypoallergenic, non shedding dog.
His training is going well on his specific role to be with children to make their treatments more effective. Bones greets patients in the lobby or treatment rooms. Depending on schedules, you may receive a happy greeting from Bones. Please inform our staff if you have a dog allergy or for personal reasons would prefer not to have contact with Bones. We are still deciding his job title but Chief Barketing Officer is presently the most popular job title suggested.
