Bones is assisting Dr. Weimer to prepare children for treatment. After months of researching service dogs, he located this puppy at very reputable breeder in central Oregon. After watching a short video of the pup, Dr. Weimer drove to the Portland area to see him. . After the purchase, the 10 hour drive back to Modesto was a great time for bonding. He named his dog Bones, a name made popular by the doctor in Startrek . Bones is a registered Australian Labradoodle, Labradoodles are a cross between a Golden Retriever and a carefully selected Poodle. This mix has proven to be the right size and temperament for a service dog. He is a hypoallergenic, non shedding dog. His training is going well on his specific role to be with children to make their treatments more effective.and to greet patients in the lobby or treatment rooms. Depending on schedules, you may receive a happy greeting from Bones. Please inform Trish of you have a dog allergy or for personal reasons would prefer to have no contact with Bones. We are still deciding his job title but Chief Barketing Officer is presently most popular job title suggested.
